As an engineer, mixer and record producer, Sylvia Massy has left her mark on three decades of music. Moving to Los Angeles in the late ’80s, Massy began her career at Larrabee Sound, where she recorded the debut EP and LP of metal icons Tool. While there she also befriended Rick Rubin, with whom she collaborated on a string of albums after moving to Sound City’s Studio B. It was at Sound City that Massy became known for creating a signature sound, with special equipment and a vintage Neve 8038 console. At the turn of the century, Massy built her [More]

Simon Beck is a snow artist who creates huge designs in the snow by simply walking in a pair of snowshoes. According to National Geographic, Beck believes that inspiration goes before motivation, and nature’s perfect patterns inspire him to create something new every time out. The piece in the video is located in Stryn, Norway. The thought and dedication that went into creating this snow masterpiece is unimaginable. After all, it’ll be covered up with snow in just a couple days. The post Man walks alone in the snow but when the camera zooms out appeared first on America. Girls. Guns..
A video titled “America’s Opioid Epidemic” has gone viral this week after it was uploaded to YouTube last Friday. A very patient customer took a video of two women who appear to be asleep on their feet behind the cash register. Once awake, the women appear pleasant enough, but even the most basic transaction is an insurmountable chore. The cashier moves like molasses as she tries to scan a bag of chips while the bagger struggles to remain conscious. There’s no way to know what these women are on, but given their symptoms it’s clearly some sort of narcotic, probably [More]
Some families send Christmas cards, these 8 siblings do their annual Christmas dance and if this doesn’t put you in Holiday mood, no one can help you. They put on their mom’s “best” Christmas sweaters, cleared the living room area and performed the sweetest choreography ever. It’s as if OK GO did a video with Pentatonix and Mariah Carey singing. There’s no way you can imagine what that would look like so we suggest you just hit Play and enjoy. The video got more than 2 million views so I’m positive I’m not the only one who loved this. goviralhasPoppedUp [More]
Loïc Nottet is not the name that’s hugely popular this side of the pond, but over in Belgium it’s a whole different story. He showed his talent on the Belgium’s version of The Voice and when you watch this video you’ll see why he made it to the finals. I can’t even say this is a performance. This is a voice rehearsal with no professional equipment, just an empty room and one spectacular voice. Nottet was practicing Sia’s “Chandelier” and it’s so incredible most singers can only dream of becoming this good. You can feel the emotion of every word [More]
Every winter, despite the weather men’s best efforts, millions of drivers ignore the warnings and get out in the blizzard only to find themselves stuck in the snow. So instead of repeating the same announcements every news channel does, this guy used this catchy and insanely popular song to deliver his message and the reactions are awesome. He rearranged the lyrics of “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen” into a weather and traffic report and I promise you’ll think of it every time there’s a snow storm out. You, sir, are brilliant. goviralhasPoppedUp = false; // create youtube player var [More]
