What's This?

TheSharechannel is…

…social media and with a simple goal in mind: to make positive, inspiring, character building stuff as viral as a video of idiot husbands, celebrity raunch, and other mindless garbage that can be described as insidious (beguiling but harmful to people).

At best, shared videos are usually either awesome, harmlessly fun, or meaningful, but everything on TheShareChannel.com has a little of both. We want people to be inspired, healthy entertained, and maybe enlightened to ways to change their life in a better way. Shocking and significant.

That is the foundation of expectations: we are not out to demean people, or give them stupid videos to waste their time. No pop culture peep shows. No right-column sleaze that keep moms afraid of the internet. Just a steady stream of the good shareable videos you can click on without feeling bad about yourself afterwards.

FAQ

How do you make money?

Well, first of all, we don’t make much yet. We are just trying to make the world a better place. But as you know people need to make a living, and no surprise that our staff feels the same way. Our revenue model as of now is to connect readers with non-profits and other organizations who are looking to grow their memberships via the sign-up boxes and banner display advertising you might have noticed while viewing the site. We legally partner as independent affiliates only with companies where we have no controlling interest. We also follow all FTC rules and guidelines as to what is appropriate disclosure of affiliate relationships.

Why do I see a pop-up occasionally?

We show pop-ups based on how often you visit, which we track with a cookie. What are cookies? Well, back in the mid-’90s, websites were like books: if you opened the same book twice it’d look exactly the same. But now, websites can remember you’ve been there, using a little piece of code called a cookie.

If you visit Thesharechannel.com frequently more than once a week and are STILL seeing too many pop-ups, that’s probably because of your browser settings. Make sure you’re allowing cookies to be stored forThesharechannel.com and then click the “close” button the next time you see a pop-up. You should then be set for awhile! Here are some helpful pages on how to change your cookies’ settings in the most common browsers:
