There are an estimated 30 million stray dogs roaming the streets of India. With poorly lit roads, these pups often end up causing accidents or becoming roadkill. To save strays from being mowed down by vehicles, a non-profit organization called Motopaws has come up with an initiative to fit as many dogs as possible with reflective collars made from donated denim. While it’s certainly not a solution to the stray problem, it goes a long way toward saving lives. What an ingenious way to help these pups. It’s not a bad idea for domestic dogs either! It was truly a case of being at the right place at the right time for firefighter Matthew MacEwen and two off-duty police officers, when the trio of heroes ended up saving a girl’s life after she got pinned under a car. The three men witnessed a 14-year-old girl getting run over by an out-of-control car, completely trapping her under the vehicle. The heroes immediately jumped into action, and as you’ll see in the incredibly dramatic video, it was group effort that ended up saving the teen’s life. That poor girl is both incredibly unlucky to have been involved in [More]
googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DTAT_ATF’); }); A while back we brought you a story about an amazing tap dancing seagull in Wales. Well, the little guy is still dancing like no one is watching! The feathered fella seems to be quite the celebrity these days and is always willing to do a little jig for a yummy snack. Fun fact: Seagulls actually developed this ability to “tap dance” because the sound of their feet hitting the ground resembles raindrops, which brings out the worms. So, basically, this clever bird is using his tap dancing skills to get his supper even when there [More]
While on a whale watching trip off Mexico’s Baja Peninsula, a group of tourists managed to witness an incredible sight. It happened after a friendly seal swam up to their boat, something that is quite common during marine life tours, but what left them stunned with amazement is what the seal decided to do all of a sudden. The playful little guy went for a ride on the back of a whale, using his massive body as a real, live surfboard! Seems like he’s having a whale of a time. Definitely gets my seal of approval. Sorry, had to say [More]
Costa, a homeless Brazilian man, ended up in the hospital after being attacked by some street thugs. While his injuries were being treated, doctors discovered he had melanoma. This meant he’d have to stay for a couple of weeks in the hospital while receiving treatment, which was a huge problem for Costa because he didn’t live on the streets by himself. He lived with Seco, his loving dog. As he underwent skin cancer treatment, his best friend waited outside in the parking lot for days on end. Since hospital rules do not permit animals to enter, hospital staff provided food [More]
If you’re like me and still enjoy silly jokes that would make the teenage version of you laugh, then you’re going to love this online blackjack prank. It’s based on one of the oldest pranks in the book: you call a bar or restaurant and ask to speak to your friend called “Hugh Jass” or “Seymour Butz”. The other person at the end of the line thinks nothing of it and calls out the name, unwittingly saying a rude word in the process. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display(‘VN_PG_DCBP_ATF’); }); It’s a completely harmless prank that one man going by P. Ness has [More]
Who doesn’t love a sloppy joe? It’s a delicious, messy, all-American classic that is usually a huge hit with kids…except this toddler, it would seem. Declan here is saying nothing but nope, nope, nope to his dinner because he’s convinced the Sloppy Joe is in fact “poop.” No matter how much his mother tries to tell him it’s just hamburger meat, the funny little guy refuses to believe the odd-looking sandwich is actually fit for consumption. I completely empathize with this kid. For the longest time, I used to think honey was actually snot… Read more: http://www.viralnova.com/sloppy-joe/
It usually starts relatively small. Maybe Dad needs a little help at home because getting around is becoming difficult. Other times, it arrives like thunder, with a catastrophic injury or a shocking medical diagnosis rendering a loved one completely dependent on outside help. No matter how an illness or disability arrives, the person who steps up to assist their stricken family member earns a title. That person becomes a caregiver. In the United States, 40 million people provide unpaid care to elderly, ill, and disabled people. Most of these caregivers don’t even distinguish themselves as such. To them, helping family [More]
This mischievous and playful panda at a Japanese zoo just wants to have a good time, especially if that means defying everything his caretakers say. Watch as the little guy runs circles around staff, whose only job is to make sure he’s unhurt and happy. Well, he’s happy for sure…but he might have a few minor bruises after all those adorable shenanigans! Doing a barrel roll is always the best defense. “You guys aren’t my parents…Impostors! I’ll escape your foul clutches.” In the end it’s all about teamwork…and a clumsy little fall. That was hilarious, but for some reason I [More]
