Three months after the initial groundbreaking, officials have finally unveiled the Chris Kyle memorial statue in the fallen veteran’s hometown of Odessa, Texas. Located in the aptly named Chris Kyle Memorial Plaza, the statue was revealed during a ceremony that featured the American Sniper’s widow Taya, local lawmakers, and country siner Larry Gatlin.
The plaza is located at 8050 E. Highway 191, Odessa near the Veterans Affairs clinic.
Taya posted early images of the statue in progress with the sculptor Vic Payne as well as the plaza construction to Facebook the day before the ceremony.
