According to the World Health Organisation, 372,000 people drown each year. Kingii wristband claims to be the world’s smallest inflatable and its mission is to reduce that number. The device contains an inflatable nylon balloon that’s kept inside a small pocket next to a carbon dioxide cartridge. Its users can inflate Kingii in less than 1 second by pulling a metal lever which triggers the CO2 cylinder and fills the balloon. The wristband is suitable for swimming, surfing, kayaking, sailing, and fishing. Kingii is up to 78 times smaller than a life jacket and aims to be just as reliable. The device is reusable (used CO2 cartridges can be replaced with new ones), and is available on Amazon for $69.99.
